FREE webinar – Handling negative situations online

Learn how to successfully deal with online negativity

Ever been trolled or harassed online? You’re not alone! Actually, that’s probably a massive understatement. Amongst everyone who uses social media and other online communication tools (i.e. nearly everyone on the planet!), there probably aren’t many people who’ve never experienced some form of negativity. And it’s bad enough when nasty stuff takes place on your personal platform(s), but it can be even worse if it’s your business that’s being targeted.

From bad online reviews – which can even be fake – to complaints, social media trolling and worse, online negativity can have a serious adverse impact on your company’s reputation and bottom line. It’s a problem that seems to be getting worse, which is why I developed my ‘Handling negative situations online’ webinar a couple of years ago to help an apprentice who was having to deal with online negativity on an almost daily basis.

The proof is in the pudding…

She put what she learned into practice during her End Point Assessment (EPA) and wrote about it in her Project Report – which earned her a distinction. (OK, so there was more to her success than that, but showing how she successfully overcame challenges was a big part of the EPA brief!) Naturally, I was delighted that the session played a part in the apprentice getting such a fantastic grade, and it’s been a part of my corporate training and coaching offer ever since.

So, why offer a FREE webinar?

You might be wondering why I’m offering this webinar for free when I know for sure it gets results. I freely admit that one reason is to promote my paid-for training and coaching services – I’d be lying if I were to pretend that’s not the case! But a bigger reason is that, over the last few years, I’ve attended and learned from quite a few free online training webinars run by other business owners, and I’m keen to share my own knowledge and give something back.

The webinar will run on two dates and time slots as follows:

  • Tuesday 10th December, 10am to 11am
  • Friday 13th December, 12 noon to 1pm (BYO lunch if you like!)

The sessions will take place on Google Meet, although you don’t need a Google account to join. You’ll be able to access the meeting link when you book your place on Eventbrite.

What you’ll learn

During the 1-hour online session, we’ll look at:

  • Types of negative situations on social media
  • Responding to complaints and negative comments
  • Handling bad online reviews
  • Dos and Don’ts.

At the end of the session, I’ll share some links to free resources you can use to deepen your learning and give you some brief info about my training and coaching services. (There’ll be no hard sell, I promise!)

Session structure

As a qualified trainer, I understand that everyone has their own preferred learning style, whether that’s auditory, visual or kinaesthetic (hands-on). So, just like all my training sessions, this webinar will feature a mixture of me talking and group discussions so you can share your ideas and experiences with your fellow learners. There’ll also be a short video and plenty of imagery on the slides to keep things visual.

At the end of the session, there’ll be a Q&A, although you’re welcome to ask questions at any time as we go along. Afterwards, I’ll send everyone who attends the slides and meeting recording for future reference. (Please note that, as this is a free session, you won’t receive these if you don’t turn up.)

Book your place today!

Spaces are limited for both sessions, so please book your place via Eventbrite now. You can choose which date and time slot you’d like to attend when you click on the link.
